Chamber Choir Flanders
Chamber Choir Flanders (Belgium) was founded in 2021 on the occasion of the World Choir Games in Flanders. On a project basis, it wants to join singers who sing with passion, who like to go the extra mile and who enjoy a challenge. At its very first public performance during the World Choir Games 2021, the choir immediately won first prize in the category in the Open Competition, category ‘Mixed Vocal Ensembles & Chamber Choirs’. With its performance of ‘Laetentur Caeli’, the choir also won the 1st prize of Euprint, for best performance of a Flemish choir work.
Jeroen Keymeulen is the conductor of the choir. During intensive study years, he obtained three Master’s degrees in music at the Leuven Lemmens Institute. In 2005 he graduated with distinction with Godelieve Monden for classical guitar and one year later he obtained the Master’s degree for chamber music with great distinction. He has taken several master classes abroad in choral and orchestral conducting, among other subjects. He is open to various genres and disciplines and also has a predilection for musical literature.
