Tiroler Landesjugendchor

Austria

The Tiroler Landesjugendchor from Austria is a dynamic youth choir that passionately continues Tyrol’s rich choral tradition. Founded in 2006 by Mag. Oliver Felipe-Armas on behalf of the Tyrolean Singers’ Association, the choir provides talented young singers with the opportunity to explore a diverse repertoire at a high artistic level, ranging from sacred and classical works to folk music and contemporary compositions.

With performances on national and international stages, the choir has become an important ambassador of Austrian choral culture. It has achieved great success, including a silver medal at the World Choir Games 2008, victory at the Tyrolean Choir Competition 2010, and first place in the ‘Chamber Choir’ category at the International Choir Competition in Tallinn 2019. Concert tours have taken the choir to Egypt, Spain, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, and Latvia. Since 2023, under the leadership of Agnes Schnabl, the ensemble continues to impress with its musical excellence and strong sense of unity.
