More than competition
From 6 to 9 May 2027, CantaRode brings together choirs from different countries in Kerkrade. Four days filled with competition, concerts, encounters and inspiration.
As a participating choir, you will not only take part in the international festival competition. You will sing at different moments and venues, meet other choirs and together become part of an international choral festival.
Your music resonates throughout the region
Beyond the festival competition, CantaRode also brings choral music beyond the competition stage. During the festival, participating choirs will perform a regional concert at a special venue in Kerkrade or the surrounding area.
For this regional concert, you will prepare a varied programme of approximately 30 to 40 minutes. A wonderful opportunity to present your choir, musical identity and repertoire to the audience in a different setting.
Welcome to Kerkrade
For four days, Kerkrade provides the setting for CantaRode. A city with a rich musical culture, located in an international border region where the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet.
During the festival, participants, visitors and local residents come together around choral music at various venues across the city and surrounding region.
